Yes, very, very expensive
First things first and that's the obvious, for tweezers, compared to what's available at one's local corner drugstore, in my opinion, these are very, very expensive tweezers.
What is one paying for? In the short, you're paying for the ability to get the fine hairs you can feel, but can't see. It's your call if this is the quality level of tweezer you're wanting to buy. In this case, you're getting what you're paying for; performance.
These have a plastic protection plug for the ends and it's highly recommended to make sure you keep this tip guard so as to protect the tweezer point.
I took a star away because personally, I don't think these are worth the price. I wanted a quality pair of tweezers that's a cut or two above that of the five or ten dollar tweezers available at our local drugstore and begrudgingly, this is what it costs to achieve that standard.
